Outgoing Cambodian Ambassador honoured with friendship insignia
VOV.VN - Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) President Vu Xuan Hong has presented the insignia “For peace and friendship among nations” to outgoing Cambodian Ambassador Hul Phany in recognition of his contributions to promoting the Vietnam-Cambodia relations.
In a speech at a July 22 ceremony in Hanoi, the VUFO President lauded the efforts made by Cambodian Ambassador Hul Phany during his term of office in Vietnam.
He expressed hope that the Cambodian diplomat will continue to make greater contribution to developing the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations.
Ambassador Hul Phany said that the two governments asked relevant agencies to prepare for the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Cambodia relations in 2017.
This provides a good opportunity for young people of both sides to deepen understanding of the traditional friendship and partnership between the two countries.
Hul Phany for his part said he hopes that the close-knit ties between Vietnam and Cambodia will continue to grow and flourish in the time ahead.
