Over 50 paintings of Vietnamese traditional oil, lacquer, silk and mixed materials by two female artists Van Duong Thanh (Vietnam) and Soledad Fuentes (Spain) are being displayed in Hanoi.

The art exhibition opened on April 27 as part of the two artists’ efforts to show the common art language in their work, in spite of their different styles, techniques and materials.

Van Duong Thanh has created art about Spain – the architecture of Madrid and perspective of the famous Dama de Elche. Soledad Fuentes applies abstract art inspired by her favorite subject - Vietnam.

The exhibition of her works which were all completed in Vietnam will run till May 5.

Soledad Fuentes, who is Spanish Ambassadress to Vietnam, has had exhibitions in France, Norway, and Austria.
