Japan's Ritsumeikan University will provide training courses for rectors of universities and colleges in Vietnam to improve their managerial ability.

A memorandum of understanding to this effect was signed recently at a working session between Ritsumeikan University and a delegation from the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training, headed by Deputy Minister Banh Tien Long.

During their visit to Japan from June 3-8, the Vietnamese delegation had working sessions with the Japanese Ministry of Education, the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and other leading universities of Japan, including Waseda and Tokyo Universities.
