Vietnam to offer 100 valuable fans to APEC representatives
100 fans made from valuable aloe wood will be given as souvenirs to the heads of states who will attend the Senior Officials’ Meeting of APEC in Nha Trang City.

Khanh Hoa Province authorities said they had received the fans on February 15.
Each fan is 22cm long with delicate patterns and the words APEC Vietnam 2017, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa on the side. The fans will be kept in a scented wooden box.
Khanh Hoa Province is famous for its aloe wood. Many people believe that aloe wood can store the energy of earth and sky and can diffuse the dangerous energy.
The Senior Officials’ Meeting of APEC will be held in Nha Trang City from February 18 to March 3. About 1,500 representatives from 21 economies, the Pacific Economic Co-operation Council, the APEC Business Advisory Council and many international organisations and businesses will attend.
The first meeting of 2017 will include 56 conferences, meetings and workshops on many issues such as investment and trade liberalisation, creating favourable conditions for businesses, dealing with natural disasters and developing human resources.
