Two Vietnamese businesses have won the International Asia-Pacific Quality Award (IAPQA), the Ministry of Science and Technology (MST) reported on November 25.

Samsung Vina Electronics Company and Minh Dung Veterinary Aquaculture Company will be presented with the award by the Asia Pacific Quality Organisation (APQO) on December 7.

On the same day, a ceremony will be held in Hanoi by the MST to honour 117 local businesses that won the Vietnam Quality Prize, which is a subsidiary of the APQO’s international awards system.

The prize, launched by the MST in 1995, is judged using the criteria of leadership, strategy formation, customer and market orientation, information and performance analysis, human resources development, and performance administration.

From these winners, the organising board will select the best businesses who will then be awarded the Vietnam Quality Gold Prize.

Since 1996, a total of nineteen Vietnamese businesses have won the IAPQA and more than 1,000 others have been awarded the local equivalent.
