Passenger bus overturns in Phu Tho, 21 Koreans on board vehicle

VOV.VN - A passenger bus carrying 29 people, including 21 citizens of the Republic of Korea, crashed down the slope and overturned in the northern midland province of Phu Tho on June 11.

The accident happened at around 11.30am (local time) when the 47seater bus was travelling along provincial highway from Bac Ninh province to Xuan Son commune.

The bus was carrying eight Vietnamese people and 21 Korean nationals, along with the 48-year-old driver.

To avoid colliding with a motorcycle, the passenger bus plunged into the hill slope and overturned.

The passengers broke the glass windows to get out of the vehicle. Many locals and passersby also quickly assisted and rescued the passengers.

Two Korean nationals were injured and taken to Tan Son Medical Centre for check-ups.

No one was killed in the accident.

Investigations into the cause of the accident are underway.
