French circus troupe heads for Vietnam
The French circus troupe Chatbaz d'Entrar will present its latest repertoires during performances in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi this week.
Titled “Here, Now and There”, the show features different forms of visual arts, focusing on body language and acrobatics.
The troupe gained critical acclaim when they performed in Indonesia in 2011 and 2012 and were invited to return for six weeks to work with local artists to create new routines.
The result is “Here, Now and There”, which features both Indonesian and French acrobats.
The show has already been staged several times in Indonesia and Timor-Leste and it has now made its way to Vietnam before heading to France next year.
This week's performances will take place at HCM City's Ben Thanh Theatre on June 20 and Hanoi's Youth Theatre on June 22’s night.
The show is among a series of more than 100 events relating to culture, economy, science and education held nationwide during the France Year 2013 in Vietnam.
