Another batch of fresh sugarcane shipped to US market
VOV.VN - The northern province of Hoa Binh hosted a ceremony on June 7 to export a batch of 18 tonnes of fresh sugarcane to the United States.
This is the second batch of fresh sugarcane Tien Ngan Trade Investment Co., Ltd has shipped to the US, one of its potential markets, following the first shipment of 20 tonnes delivered in March 2023.
Nguyen Le Diep, director of Tien Ngan Trading Investment Co., Ltd, said the company plans to export approximately 500 tonnes of sugarcane to foreign markets this year. It will have completed exporting 300 tonnes of fresh sugarcane by the end of June.
According to the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the company’s fresh sugarcane products have made inroads into several demanding markets such as the Republic of Korea, the UK, and the EU after meeting their stringent requirements regarding product quality, food safety, as well as processing, packaging, and preservation techniques.
The successful export of fresh sugarcane to the US market is anticipated to provide a solid foundation for the province’s other agricultural products as they seek to penetrate the international market.
