They were the only three Vietnamese writers honoured at the ceremony together with three Lao and four Cambodian writers.

More than 100 writers and cultural and social activists attended the event.

The Mekong Literary Awards is designed to promote cultural exchange for peace, development and prospects in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.
