Vietnamese artists take stage overseas

A number of troupes from the Tuoi Tre (Youth) Theatre will perform abroad in early 2016.
A group of 15 comics and singers are touring Eastern Europe from January 19 to 29, serving a wide audience of overseas Vietnamese.
Five others artists will head to the 2016 Vientiane Performing Arts Festival in Laos , which gathers artists from across Southeast Asia . They will perform two silent acts, “La rung” (Falling Leaves) and “Giac mo hanh phuc” (Dream about Happiness).
Meanwhile, a troupe of actors, stage designers, and sound and light technicians will visit Tokyo between January 28 and March 22 for a joint project between the Tuoi Tre Theatre and the local Marionette Theatre Youkiza.
They will work together to produce a stage adaptation of Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen's “The Wild Duck”.
The play will be performed at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre.
