Vietnamese students in France hosted a traditional musical performance on June 14 to raise funds for poor students in their home country.

The gala night is only one of charity activities by the Dong Hanh Scholarship Fund for Vietnamese students in France, which aims to introduce Vietnamese culture to French people.

Traditional folk songs from three Vietnamese regions have attracted a great number of students, Vietnamese expatriates in France and other organisations and individuals who support the fund.

Founded in 2001, the fund has expanded its operation to England, the US and Singapore. It has so far granted more than 1,300 scholarships worth VND2 billion to Vietnamese poor students with excellent academic records.

A photo exhibition was also held during the event.
