The “New Saigon” restaurant and Vietnamese students in Greenwich University, London, held a charity music show to raise funds for flood victims in central Vietnam on October 31.

About US$20,800 and two tonnes of rice were raised from the performance.

The event attracted around 300 Vietnamese people living in London, and other from Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham cities, as well as foreign friends.

Many songs of the fatherland were displayed by the “I and You” band, and the attendants shared their feelings about the hardships of flood victims.

The donation will be sent to Vietnam to help the disadvantaged people.
