Most of the visitors came from European countries, Japan and Thailand.  

There are many festivals in Hue during Tet, including the Cau Ngu Festival in Thuan An beach, Du Tien Festival in Quang Dien and Quang Tho town (Quang Dien district), and the Huyen Tran Temple Festival in Tay An, along with boat races and wrestling festivals throughout the province. 

Cultural and music performances, as well as games such as chess, and cock-fighting were also held to attract tourists. 

These events are the beginning of the culture, sports and tourism activities to welcome Thua Thien Hue province’s National Tourism Year 2012.
