Central Power Corporation established
Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) on April 3 announced the establishment of the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC).
The corporation, operating under the Enterprise Law, is a one-member limited liability company with a charter capital of VND4.5 trillion (US$250 million) owned by the EVN.
With 34 company members and 10,500 employees, EVNCPC is involved in production and trading of electricity and electrical equipment, as well as telecom and information technology services.
It is also involved in investment, bid management, the construction and operation of power grid projects and small-and medium-sized power plants.
