The largest industrial gas plant in Vietnam will be built in northern Hai Duong province under a contract signed by Germany’s Messer Group and Hoa Phat Group in Hanoi on October 25.

Accordingly, Messer Group will invest US$30 million in the construction of a separation and liquefaction facility to produce and liquefy oxygen, nitrogen and argon gases with an output of 16,500 cu.m per hour.

The new plant is expected to provide 70 percent of its gases to Hoa Phat Group’s steel production, and supply both liquid and compressed gas to northern Vietnam, particularly along the Hanoi-Hai Phong corridor.
