A dental mission of the US-based Operation Smile will tour Vietnam from March 19-28 to give dental education and treatment for children and youths in Hanoi and the ancient imperial city of Hue.

There will be three teams working at the Hanoi Medical School and the Vietnam-Cuba hospital, the Hue Odonto-Stomalogical Hospital and in five fully-equipped vans that will travel to schools in order to teach children proper brushing techniques and gum care.

Operation Smile, a worldwide children’s medical charity headquartered in Norfolk, Virginia, has sent its dental missions to Vietnam since 1995.

Last year, the mission treated 5,000 dental patients in Hanoi and Hue, bringing its total beneficiaries to 16,500.
