World gold prices increased by US$40 per ounce on November 28, driving domestic gold prices up to over VND28 million/tael.  

In the morning, domestic gold prices hovered around VND28.2-28.5 million/tael, up VND200,000-300,000/tael against transactions at 5.30pm on November 27.

SJC gold was listed at VND28.25-28.35 million/tael, rising by VND150,000-350,000/tael compared to closing time the day before. Bao Tin Minh Chau Jewelry Company announced the price of Thang Long gold at VND28.11-28.30 million/tael.     

Than Tai (God of Wealth) Sacombank gold was traded at VND28.15-29.35 million/tael, up VND450,000-1 million/tael against transactions on November 27. 

Facing such fluctuations in prices, very few transactions were conducted and investors were awaiting further developments in the global gold market.

In Europe, world gold prices kept falling to US$1,137 per ounce on November 27, but increased to US$1,180 per at the closing time.

The US market was off during the country’s Thanksgiving Holiday.
