Vietsovpetro completes platform for gas field
The Vietnamese-Russian oil and gas joint venture Vietsovpetro on June 29 organised a launching ceremony for Platform BK Thien Ung at the company’s port area.
The platform will be transported and installed at the Thien Ung gas condensate field, which is located at block 04-3 in the Nam Con Son basin.
The platform, 130 metres long and weighing 6,600 tonnes, was successfully loaded onto the launching barge.
According to Tu Thanh Nghia, General Director of the joint venture, the platform is the biggest project the country has ever contracted and has the highest localisation rate, marking the company’s significant progress.
