The Deputy PM noted with joy the rapid development and outcomes of the friendship and all-around cooperation between the two nations, especially bilateral economic, trade and investment ties.

Dung voiced his hope that more businesses from the UAE will invest in projects on energy infrastructure, logistics, oil and gas, renewable energy, energy saving, support industries, material production, farm produce processing, food, labour, finance, tourism, culture, sports, construction and aviation transportation in Vietnam.

He urged the UAE to offer optimal conditions for Vietnamese living and working in the country.

The Vietnamese official also hailed the role and operation of the Vietnam-UAE Inter-governmental Committee, especially the outcomes of the committee’s fourth meeting in Abu Dhabi last April, under the chair of Minister Bin Saeed Al Mansouri and Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh.

Vietnam desires to increase the sharing of information about policies, regulations and investment opportunities in each country with the UAE, while stepping up trade promotion activities in respective markets, Dung told his guest.

In reply, Minister Bin Saeed Al Mansouri said his nation regards Vietnam as the most important strategic partner in ASEAN, adding that there remain huge investment opportunities in Vietnam.

The UAE has invested in logistics, seaports and real estate in the Southeast Asian nation and will explore more investment opportunities in other fields like digital and knowledge-based economy, he said.

Apart from potential for tourism cooperation, the UAE is greatly interested in food processing and wants to cooperate with Vietnam in this area, the minister said.

He assured the UAE’s willingness to share experience and bolster cooperation on strategies aimed at reforming and diversifying the economy as well as developing the digital and knowledge-based economy.
