Top Vietnamese player Nguyen Tien Minh was lost to Denmark’s Hans Kristian Vittinghus 0-2 at the 3rd round of the 2012 Badminton Swiss Open on March 15.

Recently, the Danish player (world No. 17) has made remarkable advancement and is considered to surpass his predecessor Peter Gade, who won the world champion and Olympic champion titles for many years.

Vittinghus easily thrashed Minh 21-11 in the first set. Then, in the face of strong resistance from the Vietnamese opponent, he managed well to win 21-17 in the second set to finish the match in 38 minutes.

With his loss, Minh dropped one notch to 11th position in the latest rankings announced by the Badminton World Federation.
