Hosts lose to Iran in women’s volleyball cup

Vietnam lost to Iran in the Asian Volleyball Confederation Cup for Women’s classification round on September 19 in Vinh Phuc Province.

Vietnam were defeated 25-19, 14-25, 30-32, 23-25 in a match in which they claimed the first set.

The two teams met for the second time in this tournament.

In the group round last week, Vietnam won 27-25, 22-25, 21-25, 25-20, 15-12.

In the seventh-eighth place play-off today, the hosts will play the Republic of Korea (RoK) who were defeated 20-25, 17-25, 18-25 by Chinese Taipei on September 19.
