Hanoi and Ile de Loire province of France will further boost co-operation in the 2006-2008 period.

An agreement to this effect was signed in Hanoi on January 16 by Chairman of the Hanoi City People's Committee Nguyen Quoc Trieu, and Chairman of the Ile de Loire provincial Council Marc Pommereau.

Municipal Chairman Nguyen Quoc Trieu received a delegation from France's Ile de Loire province now on a five-day working visit to Hanoi from January 15.

Both sides highly appreciated the co-operation between the two localities in the recent period, and hoped that their localities would continue co-operating in many fields such as culture, economics, education and tourism.
