Vietnam is expected to welcome more than 460,000 international arrivals in April, up 6.3 percent against the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

In the first four months of the year, the number of international visitors to Vietnam is estimated to reach more than 1.971 million, up 10.5 percent from a year earlier.

Foreign arrivals coming to Vietnam for tourism purposes took the lead, followed by visitors for business and personal purposes.

Almost all visitors to Vietnam are from China (over 87,000), the Republic of Korea, the US and Japan.
