Experts release forecast for remainder of typhoon season

VOV.VN - Typhoon Doksuri may have been a harbinger of what is yet to come this storm season, says the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.

Forecasters from the Centre are predicting an above-normal remaining storm season this year for the East Sea with as many as four to five tropical low pressures forming.

One or two of these storms will likely make landfall, striking the central and southern regions of Vietnam.

The Centre has also forecast the country’s rainfall to be 10-30% higher than average through the end of the year.
