The Vietnam-China Electricity Investment Co Ltd. was officially inaugurated in Hanoi on November 14 under an agreement between Vietnam's Electricity Company 1 and China's Yunnan Grid Company.

Addressing the ceremony, Nguyen Phuc Vinh, Director of the Electricity Company 1 - a subsidiary of Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), said that the joint venture will invest in a number of power projects, including the Seo Chong Ho hydro-electric power plant in northern Vietnam.
