Hanoi - Vietnam pavilion attracts visitors at Home Show in Australia
VOV.VN - The Hanoi – Vietnam pavilion has captured great attention from visitors at the Home Show, a major event in the furniture industry in Australia, which is running from October 13 to October 15.
The event is being jointly held by the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Sydney, and the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia as part of a project aimed at encouraging Vietnamese enterprises to directly participate in foreign distribution networks until 2030.
The function also seeks to support businesses in Hanoi to promote their goods and services and develop their product brands to Australia and international customers. This will thereby help to further expand into key export markets, seek partners and introduce the city’s investment, trade, and tourism potential in Australia
Upon addressing the opening ceremony, Tran Thi Phuong Lan, acting director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, emphasised that the event will help Vietnamese businesses operating in the fields of handicrafts, furniture, and wooden furniture to seek fresh co-operation opportunities which can boost Hanoi's export turnover in the near future.
Ha Thi Vinh, chairwoman of the Hanoi Handicraft Village Association and director of Quang Vinh Ceramics Co., Ltd, described the event as a "golden" opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to return to the Australian market, adding that the company's products are considered suitable in meeting the tastes of Australian consumers.
She therefore expressed hope that through the expo, the company will gain more potential customers in this Oceanian market.
A number of forums and seminars were held during the event as a way of helping businesses to gain greater insights into the development of international brands and ways to promote products, as well as the latest trends for interior products.
