Swedish Honorary Consul General Krister Kling said Vietnam is an attractive destination for businesses and investors and Swedish companies are becoming more interested in the Vietnamese market.

Mr Kling, who is also Managing Director of Guston Molinel garment and textile corporation, said the assembling industry is one of the most potential fields for foreign investors, especially for Swedish investors. The industry requires small-scale investment but turn a quick profit. With a young labour force, Vietnam can take advantage of developing such a field.

He added that the key to success is long-term commitments and patience from both sides.

Mr Kling said the important thing is to define areas in which Vietnam and Sweden can promote and seek business opportunities. It is also important for Vietnam to let Swedish companies know there are many areas of interest to Swedish investors in the country.

He confirmed that bilateral trade relations between Vietnam and Sweden will continue to develop and he will do his best to contribute to the development.
