An agreement was signed recently by the Trade Promotion Department under the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and Business Network Switzerland (OSEC) – the official promoter for Swiss foreign trade.

Under the agreement, both parties will promote the export of Vietnamese goods to Switzerland and other European countries by organising trade fairs, market surveys, conferences and seminars.

The project will benefit small and medium sized Vietnamese enterprises, particularly those involved in producing and exporting aquatic products, farm produce, processed food, handicrafts, furniture, garments, machinery, electronics and software.

OSEC will work with Vietnam to select Vietnamese businesses for the project, and provide up-to-date information on the Swiss and European markets for Vietnamese exporters.

The Swiss will also assist Vietnam and provide training on business administration and trade promotion for Vietnamese businesses and organisations.
