Wrestlers competing in Asian champs in Taipei

Vietnam is taking part in the Cadet Asian Championship Greco-Roman, Freestyle and Female Wrestling in Chinese Taipei. 

In the first day of competition on July 7, Nguyen Dinh Huy failed to make the top three after losing in the qualification round of the Cadet’s Greco-Roman 50kg category. 

Yerassyl Nurbossynov of Kazakhstan took the gold, beating Indian Vijay Vijay in the final match. Xu Jiahao from China took third place. 

His teammate Nguyen Cong Thanh will compete today in the 58kg Greco-Roman class. 

On the women’s side, Can Thi Hong will take part in the freestyle 43kg pool today while Truong Thi Thanh Hien will test her skills on July 9 in the freestyle 70kg division. 

The championship, organised by the Taiwan Wrestling Association, will wrap up on July 10 in the city of Taichung.
