Hung Kings commemorated nationwide

An incense offering ceremony was held at the Thuong temple of the Hung Kings Temple relics in Phu Tho province on March 31 (the tenth day of the Lunar March).

National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Huynh Dam, and representatives from central ministries, agencies, UNESCO Vietnam, provinces and cities, paid tribute to the Vietnamese ancestors together with local people and visitors.

Addressing the ceremony, Chairman of the Phu Tho provincial People’s Committee, Hoang Dan Mac, expressed great pride in the 4,000 years of national construction and defence as well as gratitude to founders of the nation. He also highlighted the great achievements of the Vietnamese Party, State, and people during the country's Renewal (Doi Moi) process, national development and international integration.

He affirmed that the Vietnamese descendants will uphold the Hung Kings’ patriotic spirit to pursue the path to socialism chosen by the Party and President Ho Chi Minh.

After the incense offering, the delegation paid a floral tribute at the tomb of the Hung Kings and the relief wall of President Ho Chi Minh and soldiers of the Tien Phong (Vanguard) Brigade in the relic complex.

The annual Hung Kings Temple Festival has been a special event for the Vietnamese people for thousands of years and provides them with an opportunity to show national pride and national unity.
