Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has urged the Ministries of Justice from Vietnam and Laos to increase exchanges of information on legal and judicial reform as well as experiences in law making and personnel training.

The government leader made the call while receiving Lao Minister of Justice Chaleuan Yapaoher in Hanoi on June 29.

PM Dung applauded the recent effective cooperation between the two nations’ judicial sectors and the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on bilateral cooperation for the 2007-2010 period a day earlier.

Minister Yapaoher proposed the Government and the Justice Ministry of Vietnam continue to assist Laos in human resource development and professional experience sharing.

During his Vietnam visit from June 27-July 3, the Lao official is scheduled to work with the People's Supreme Court, the People's Supreme Procuracy, the Ho Chi Minh National Politics and Administrative Institute and the Hanoi Law University.
