In the article, Chanthi Duonsavan, President of the Lao Writers' Association, recalled Vietnam's assistance to Lao cadres and students who worked and studied in Vietnam in the past and spoke highly of mutual assistance and cooperation between the two countries.

After his two visits to Vietnam in 2006, Chanthi noted that Vietnam has become one of Southeast Asian countries with strong growth rates in economy, trade and tourism.
