Experts from the World Bank and Vietnam shared their experiences in planning and developing outlying urban areas in a sustainable manner at a seminar on June 15.
Participants focused their discussions on urbanization, urban development and solutions for sustainable development in outlying urban areas in major Vietnamese cities.
Urbanization is growing fast in the country, forming 700 urban hubs, including 93 cities. Urban residents now make up 28 percent of the country’s total population.
