Vietnam ready for 4th Asian Indoor Games in RoK

(VOV) - On June 26, the Vietnamese sports team will leave to take part in the 4th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Gamesat Incheon in the Republic of Korea, from June 29 to July 6.

The 159-member delegation, including 102 athletes, will compete in 11 of the 12 games at the event, which combines the Asian Indoor Games and the Asian Martial Arts Games for the first time.

Delegation leader Lam Quang Thanh said at the June 22 farewell ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City that Vietnam aims to rank among the top 15 countries at the Games.

Vietnam is pinning high hopes for medals in chess, swimming, martial arts, billiards and snooker.

The tournament is held by the Olympic Council of Asia every four years and this year’s Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games are expects the participation of athletes from 45 countries and territories in Asia, who will compete for 100 sets of medals.
