The Vietnam-China Joint Committee for Land Border Demarcation and Landmark Planting convened the 22nd chairman-level session in Beijing from October 28 to November 6.

Participants reviewed the results made after the 21st session and underlined the need to step up the work. They agreed to continue to implement measures adopted at the 13th round of governmental negotiations on land border and territories and the 19th chairman-level session of the Vietnam-China Joint Committee for Land Border Demarcation and Landmark Planting.

They also agreed to work together towards maintaining stability along the border between the two countries and to create favourable conditions for the land demarcation and landmark planting roadmap to be completed with the signing of a new regulation on border management in 2008.

The 23rd session will be held in Vietnam.
