A senior delegation of the Singapore Armed Forces, headed by Major General Desmond Kuek Bak Chye, left Vietnam on February 10, concluding its three-day friendship visit to the country.

The delegation was received by Lieutenant General Pham Hong Loi, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army. The two sides shared the view that the visit would contribute to further enhancing friendship between the two armies.

During their stay in Vietnam, the Singaporean officers paid a courtesy visit to Senior Lieutenant General Phung Quang Thanh, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, laid a wreath at President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, visited the Vietnam Military Museum, a military unit and several sites of historical interest in Hanoi.
