Vietnamese ambassador to Canada Nguyen Duc Hung presented VND270 million to the President of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, Tran Ngoc Tang, in Hanoi on December 19.

The money is comprised of donations given by overseas Vietnamese in Toronto, Canada to flood victims in Vietnam’s central provinces in response to the Vietnam Red Cross Society’s call for support for the victims of natural disasters.

President Tang expressed his thanks to the Vietnamese community in Toronto and hoped that they will continue to support Vietnamese people at home in the near future.
