Vietnam’s BrightStar Company and US-based Kaplan Inc. signed a training cooperation agreement in Ho Chi Minh City on January 16, offering Vietnamese students more opportunities to study abroad.

Under the agreement, Kaplan will provide BrightStar with university and post-graduate training courses in a number of subjects, including finance and accounting, information technology, business administration and tourism.

Following the completion of a one-year course in foreign languages, computer skills and communications in Vietnam, eligible students will be sent to study at universities in the US, Singapore and Australia.

On this occasion, Kaplan signed agreements on training cooperation programmes with Saigon, An Giang and Nha Trang-based Thai Binh Duong Universities.

William Marshak, the US Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, said that this is an important area of cooperation between Vietnam and the US, creating many study and exchange opportunities for the two countries’ students.

This cooperation also helps Vietnam pursue its education development strategy in its process of international integration and development, he added.

BrightStar offers English language courses to Vietnamese students preparing to study abroad, while Kaplan Inc is a leading global provider of educational services.
