The People’s Committee of northern Hai Duong province has licensed Vina Fly Ash and Cement Ltd. Co. of the Republic of Korea to recycle fly ash at the Pha Lai thermal power plant.
The US$5.4 million project is expected to recycle 500,000 tonnes of fly ash a year to make cement additives for hydraulic dams. The project will have a life-span of 20 years.
The Pha Lai Thermal Power Joint Stock Company earlier permitted RoK investors to install a fly ash collection system to replace the water filtering system used in the first production line.
