On July 14, the Trade Unions and Youth Unions of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Transport Design and Consultancy Corporation visited the Thuan Thanh Convalescent Centre in northern Bac Ninh province.

The centre is home to 110 invalids from 24 northern provinces and cities. Of these, 106 invalids are suffering from serious diseases such as paraplegia, myasthenia and spine.

Head of the International Cooperation Department under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Tran Phi Tuoc conveyed best regards and presented gifts to them on the 60th anniversary of Invalids and Martyrs Day.

The visit demonstrated their good tradition of paying deep gratitude to invalids and martyrs who have rendered services to the cause of national independence and freedom.

Since July 12, 18 students and youth members from the Hanoi Teachers’ College No 1 have taken turns taking care of invalids at the Thuan Thanh Convalescent Centre. This is part of regular activities launched by the college’s Youth Union with a view to educating young generations about the tradition of taking care of invalids and martyrs.
