A gold medal was awarded for the photo entitled “Sympathy” taken by Vietnamese photographer Hoang Xuan Tri in a photographic contest to celebrate International Day for Disabled people (December 3) in Singapore.
The photo, with a strange and unique lay-out, reflects society’s deep concern about unfortunate people as well as sympathy towards the disabled themselves in the context of a racing contest for the disabled.
Photographer Tri also won a bronze medal for the “Exertion” photo illustrating the efforts of a handicapped woman.
Hoang Xuan Tri has so far exhibited 33 works in 23 countries and was given a certificate of merit by the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP).
