This is the orientation recently devised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Vietnam Food Association.

To fulfill the target, the Mekong River Delta will take firm measures to ensure rice export by improving the quality of rice, diversifying rice products, and sharpening competitive capacity to maintain traditional markets and meet the requirements of new markets.

In addition, the region will improve co-ordination between production and consumption, stabilize the price of rice, ensure effective management and prevent dumping.
