“Tomorrow begins from today” will be the theme of the Forum of Youth and Sustainable Development in Vietnam in 2010, which will be held in the northern province of Ninh Binh from August 21-27.
The forum will be the highlight of the campaign “Linking the ecological hands to Green Generation” to mark the 1,000th birthday of Thang Long-Hanoi and the International Day of Action against Climate Change in October.
It will be held under the sponsorship of Oxfam, CARE, the British Council and the British Embassy in Vietnam aiming to improve young people’s role in response to climate change in Vietnam and around the globe as well.
Participants will have opportunities to improve their knowledge and skills in coping with climate change and sustainable development issues relating to the poor and those vulnerable to injury and share experiences in taking the role as “green messengers”.
