Hanoi to host ASEAN cultural heritage exhibition
(VOV) -The National Library of Vietnam is going to display over 1,000 documents pertaining to the ASEAN community, the August Revolution and Vietnam National Day at an exhibition taking place from August 28-September 15.
The documents, translated into different languages, focus on four basic topics including Vietnam’s development achievements from the beginning of the Doi Moi (Renewal) process until now; economic, cultural, and maritime situations; Vietnam-ASEAN cooperation and Vietnam's role in the ASEAN community.

In addition, the exhibition introduces documents related to the formation of the ASEAN Community on matters related to politics, security, economy, society, and culture.
The highlight of the event is an introduction of documents showing ASEAN’s consistent support for Vietnam’s protection of independence and sovereignty in the East Sea.
The image of land, people and unique cultural beauties and a number of literary and research works introducing art of architecture, dance, cinematography of ASEAN countries are also to display at the exhibition.
The event aims to mark 69th anniversary of National Day (September 2), the 47th founding anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and 19 years since Vietnam joined ASEAN.
