Six Asian Informatics Olympiad medals for Vietnam

(VOV) - Vietnam has won six medals, including three gold, two silver, and one bronze medals at the Asia Informatics Olympiad held recently in Indonesia.

The Ministry of Education and Training announced on May 19 that three gold medals went to Nguyen Tien Trung Kien, Nguyen Viet Dung, and Phan Duc Nhat Minh while two silvers were given to Do Ngoc Khanh and Pham Van Hanh. Vu Phuc was a bronze medal winner.

According to the unofficial ranking, Vietnam and the Republic of Korea ranked third, after China and Iran.

This is Vietnam’s highest results since its first participation in 2013 with 1 gold, 1 silver and three bronzes and with six silvers recorded in 2014.

15 Vietnamese students have competed at this year’s Olympiad that attracted 27 countries and territories.
