US to promote judicial exchange with Vietnam

(VOV) -A number of judges from the US Federal Courts will pay a working visit to Vietnam in September to deepen mutual understanding on judicial matters between the two nations.

US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg told this with the press in Hanoi on August 11, adding that the foundation for the Vietnam-US relations is the people-to-people relationship.

The US official said she hopes more exchanges between citizens, businesses, students and high-level government delegations will be organised in the time to come.

She also expressed the conviction that the Vietnam-US ties will grow and flourish in the time ahead.

At her earlier meeting with Chief Judge of the Vietnam Supreme People’s Court Truong Hoa Binh, the two sides agreed to spur cooperation aiming to raise the transparency of judgement activities.
