Vietnam is willing to cooperate with other countries for the benefit of socio-economic development, affirmed Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Quoc Thang at a seminar in Hanoi on September 10.
The seminar entitled “Study and renovation: policy and mechanism for sci-tech planning and public-private cooperation” saw the participation of scientists and policy makers from member countries of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum.
To promote the effectiveness of sci-tech development programmes for socio-economic development, participants proposed paying more attention to knowledge-based socio-economic development issues.
They discussed priority areas for sci-tech renovation, strategies, challenges to the implementation of sci-tech policies and establishment of a network to bring sci-tech results from labs to the market.
