Central Quang Ngai province is building two more centres for natural calamity prevention and mitigation, which it plans to complete and put into operation before the coming flood season.

The two centres, estimated to cost VND1.2 billion, are part of Australia's aid project on natural calamity mitigation in Quang Ngai to help rescue and shelter flood victims. The centres will also be used to gather equipment for rescue work and store food as relief for local people in case of floods.

Quang Ngai will therefore have four natural calamity mitigation centres in Binh Son, Duc Pho, Mo Duc and Nghia Hanh districts.
