During his visit to SJC on February 21, President Triet expressed his pleasure at the company’s remarkable achievement in 2006 with record revenue of more than VND17,000 billion, making a profit of over VND96 billion.

Mr Triet praised SJC staff’s efforts in developing trademark and running business effectively, as well as owning a large market share in the domestic jewellery sector. He wished the company further success in the new year and asked the company to uphold its solidarity tradition and accelerate business operations in order to successfully integrate into the global economy.

Earlier on February 20, President Triet visited Vissan company of the Sai Gon Trading Group (SATRA).

During the Tet holiday, Vissan company provided 40,000 tonnes of pork and 3,500 tonnes of processed food worth VND300 billion, actively contributing to stabilizing the domestic market and ensuring food hygiene and safety.

Vissan should invest more in developing technology and upgrading facilities to increase its competitiveness and maintain its trademark in the international economic integration process, Mr Triet said.
