Vietnam’s national men and women teams won eight golds, four silvers and one bronze to take the top spots in the Hanoi International Taekwondo Championships, which concluded on October 29.
Excellent Vietnamese medalists included Nguyen Thi Hai, Nghiem Thi Huyen, Duong Thu Tra, Nguyen Phong Dong, Dinh Thanh Long and Nam Chu Thien Quang, who competed in the 51-55 kg, 54-58 kg and 67 kg categories.
Russian athlete Victor was presented an award for excellent performance, though he carried off a silver medal.
The two-day tournament drew the participation of 150 players from Laos, China, the Republic of Korea, Russia and Vietnam.
